Our Services

End-to-end product support, from diagnosis to delivery

Whether you are fixing an existing experience, developing a new idea, or bringing AI into your product, we provide the strategy, design, and validation needed to move forward with confidence.

Diagnosis Sprint

A focused sprint to diagnose a single user flow and map out what to fix first. We leverage your analytics, user research, and market data to pinpoint where users are stalling. Best for teams that need clear, evidence-backed answers before committing to a new feature build or redesign.

Growth Redesign

For teams with measurable UX problems: low conversion, high churn, or a product that's fallen behind competitively. We audit your product, redesign the key screens and up to two user flows, then validate the new experience with real users and hand off production-ready user flows.

Intelligence Design

Intelligence Design defines the rules, guidelines, parameters, and response logic your AI needs to operate successfully inside your product. We establish how it should respond, what it should avoid, how it handles uncertainty and failure, and when it should escalate to a human. This turns a general-purpose model into a product experience users can trust.

Our process

How we turn complexity into clarity.

A proven & effective
workflow process.

A structured process for every stage, from diagnosis to delivery.

01

Diagnose

Most problems aren't what they first appear to be. Before a single pixel moves, we dig into the real problem: user interviews, analytics review, heuristic analysis, and stakeholder alignment. The goal is to understand what's actually broken, not just what looks broken.

02

Plan & Prioritize

Once we've aligned on the problem, we map the path forward. That means a clear roadmap, scoped milestones, effort estimates, and early-stage wireframes to stress-test the approach before committing to execution. No surprises mid-engagement.

03

Design & Prototype

This is where the work gets built. We move from wireframe to high-fidelity fast, pressure-testing ideas and iterating until the solution holds up against user behavior, edge cases, and your business constraints.

04

Handoff

We don't drop a Figma link and disappear. Every handoff includes annotated designs, interaction specifications, and coded prototypes. We close with a live handoff session where your engineering team can ask questions, flag concerns, and get clarity before they start building.

05

Support

Once your engineers are in build mode, we stay reachable. If a technical consideration surfaces that affects the design intent, we're a message away: available to answer questions, review implementation decisions, and protect the integrity of what we built together.

Why not just hire a full-time senior designer?

Hiring takes 2–4 months, costs $120K+ in salary alone for a senior product designer, and bets everything on a single hire working out. With Monico, you're up and running in days with a team that's already been vetted, already works together, and already knows how to move fast in a startup environment. When the sprint is done, you're not carrying overhead. It's design capacity that scales with you.

How is this different from hiring a freelancer or an agency?

Freelancers are individuals. One person, one skill set, no accountability structure. Agencies add layers of overhead, account management, and junior execution. Monico is a focused product team: senior designers with proven working chemistry, embedded in your product and your process. No bloat. No handoff delays. You get the caliber of team usually reserved for companies at Series C and beyond.

Which scope is right for us?

It depends on where you are and what's most urgent. The Signal Sprint is the right starting point if you're not sure what's broken or what to build next. The Growth Redesign fits companies that know what's leaking and need it fixed before their next round. The Foundation Build is for teams that need design infrastructure to scale on. The Edge Build is for companies ready to design and ship a full feature or product area from scratch. If you're still not sure, that's exactly what the intro call is for. We'll ask the right questions and tell you honestly which scope fits.

How do engagements work?

We start with a diagnostic to make sure we're solving the right problem, not just the one you walked in with. From there, engagements are structured around clear deliverables and milestones, never open-ended. You'll always know what's being built, why, and when. We don't do ongoing retainers where hours disappear into the void.

Why do you only take a few clients at a time?

Monico runs a small number of active engagements so every client gets our full attention. When you're in a cohort, you're not competing for bandwidth with a dozen other accounts. Our team is focused on your product, your problems, and your timeline. That level of depth is only possible when we keep the volume intentionally low. We open slots on a cohort basis. If you're timing-sensitive, the best thing to do is get a conversation on the calendar now so we can plan accordingly.

What do you need from us to get started?

Not much upfront. We'll need access to your product, any existing analytics or research you have, and a point of contact who can give us honest context about what's working and what isn't. Beyond that, we handle the process. You won't need to manage us, run the meetings, or figure out what to hand off next. The engagements are structured so your team stays focused on what they do best while we handle the design work end to end.
